Exfoliating is an important step of every facial. It helps to remove dead skin cells, unclog pores, and reveal brighter, smoother skin. When exfoliating during a facial, use a gentle scrub such as St.Ives face scrub and massage it into the skin in circular motions. Avoid scrubbing too hard as this can irritate the skin. Rinse off the product with lukewarm water and pat the skin dry. After cleansing and exfoliation, the next step is to take some steam to open up the pores and loosen any dirt or debris that may be trapped in the skin. Steam not only helps to soften the skin but also relaxes the facial muscles, reduces puffiness, and improves circulation.
