In this step, any excess oil, sebum, or build-up that may be preventing the subsequent steps of the facial from having the desired effect on your skin are removed.
Step#2: Gently Exfoliate:
Exfoliating is an important step of every facial. It helps to remove dead skin cells, unclog pores, and reveal brighter, smoother skin. When exfoliating during a facial, use a gentle scrub such as St.Ives face scrub and massage it into the skin in circular motions. Avoid scrubbing too hard as this can irritate the skin. Rinse off the product with lukewarm water and pat the skin dry. Moreover for more amazing result, scrub efficiently on the chin and nose area to get all the impurities and blackheads out of the skin.
If you have an oily skin then use St Ives Avocado & Honey Scrub. However, for dry skin we recommend you to use St. Ives Coconut and Coffee Scrub.
Step#3: Take Some Steam:
After cleansing and exfoliation, the next step is to take some steam to open up the pores and loosen any dirt or debris that may be trapped in the skin. Steam not only helps to soften the skin but also relaxes the facial muscles, reduces puffiness, and improves circulation.
If you have oily or acne-prone skin, then this step is best for you. All you need to do is just follow the following simple steps:
⦁ Put some water in a pot, bring it to a boil, and then remove it from the stove

⦁ Add some aromatic essential oil into the water like lavender oil or rose oil for a spa like experience.
Step#5: Mask:
The next step is to wear a mask. It depends on your skin type as to which type of face mask is best for you. However, regardless of which type you choose, leave the mask on for 10–20 minutes, and then remove it with a wet tissue or washcloth .
